Hillary continues to get better!
On July 13 I had the privilege of sitting on the stage for a huge rally for Hillary. Bill Clinton introduced her; this was the first time I had seen him in person. He is as warm charming, charismatic and smart as I had been told. His introduction of Hillary was precise: he summarized humanitarian work she had done from the time she was in college. Hillary followed with a rousing talk in which she pointed to the need for health care that covers EVERYONE, ending the war in Iraq (no need for apologizing for earlier votes given what she's willing now to do) and how corporations no longer should be given tax breaks! This was the fourth time I had seen Hillary in person, and each time she has become more specific, more articulate, more clearly an experienced campaigner for the most important role in the world. At a house party several months ago she answered a very specific question about a little-known UN treaty. At a health care forum in Exeter, she spotlighted people who NEED to be covered by affordable health insurance. At a huge rally in Concord months ago, she was clearly supported by folks of all ages, not just college students, and she answered every questions much more specifically than other candidates I have heard in person. (I've heard them all now, one of the percs of living in New Hampshire.) I do not find her speeches repetitive of each other; she has a theme and focus of each one, and she knows her stuff!
