McCain is Back

Today I went to a function where Sen. McCain and Amb. John Bolton were the keynote speakers. When it comes to foreign policy, you couldn't get a clearer picture. Sen. McCain, once again, showed his conviction, integrity and vision for protecting America, it's citizens and the principles by which we live. Like George Washington and Ronald Reagan, "Peace through Strength". No defeatism.

On domestic issues, Sen. McCain demonstrated once again, as he did at the Republican Debate at UNH, that he is refocused. After his years in Washington, his frustration with the do nothing system, he wanted to make an improvement. But after the defeat of the immigration bill, he seemed to be reinvigorated. As he said, "I got it!" The American people don't trust this Congress. They want real change. And they want border security first. And he will make sure it gets done the right way this time!

He critized Mitt Romney's recent statement that he and the other candidates were not real Republicans in principle. He was challenged by a Romney supporter who asked about his working with Joe Liberman and other Democrats. His response was impressive. He respects Joe Liberman and working with all members of Congress is what the people expect. But that does not mean he would vote for them or donate campaign contributions as Romney had done in Massachusetts.

A very clear and concise understanding of National Security issues and a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to all issues. If you Republicans, Independants and Democrats voted for him in 2000, take a look at him again. He's back!
