Uncle Rudy

Remember growing up and going to family reunions, there was always one favorite uncle whom everyone loved for his adorable manner, dry wit, and common sense wisdom? That's what it felt like when Uncle Rudy came to town this weekend.

About 150 people crowded the floor and balconies of our old Exeter Town Hall to hear him speak and answer questions. It was such a relaxed atmosphere compared to other events. Uncle Rudy talked about energy independance, foreign policy, education reform, healthcare, immigration, spending and taxes.

In a casual and witty way, he described his views for solutions, and then compared them to the Democrat Candidate proposals.

His solutions, let citizens keep their money and make their own choices for their family and children. Solving overegulation, inefficiency, expanding socialist principles and bureaucratic lagress can be solved only by empowering the people with the right to choose.

The Democrats view for solving the problems caused overegulation and socialization of programs is to propose more expansion of socialism, and raising our taxes to do so. To illustrate, he pulled from his pocket a small piece of paper. He then read a recent quote from Hillary; "I have a thousand ideas, the country can't afford them". The entire audience broke out laughing!

If you want to get a clear picture of the differences between Republicans and Democrats of their visions for the future, I would recommend that every Republican, Moderate Democrat and Independant go see Uncle Rudy when he is in town.
