Obama keeps getting better
Having seen Barack Obama three times already, I went to the Manchester rally not so much for myself but to bring some friends so that they could see what he was about. I can see why he is picking up in the polls; he just keeps getting better all the time, and his momentum is building. His speeches continue to be inspiring, original, and he remains the most positive and hopeful of all the candidates. You truly get the sense that he is a totally different politician, full of conviction and promise; His moment is now, and this country needs him now. With Obama we have the opportunity to elect someone who can bring real change. His twenty years working for people in need, for civil rights, teaching constitutional law and most of all his clear, good judgement are the necessary experience for the job of president, not a few more years in Washington. Oprah wasn't bad either.

My father had been present at the rally and said he was very impressed by Obama's speech. He had been very interested in Hillary Clinton prior to this speech, mostly because he was a big supporter of the Bill Clinton administrations. He said Obama's words were inspiring and moving, that he felt as if Obama really cared about the issues he was preaching.
When he left the venue he said Obama had just received his vote. What's interesting is that when we spoke of what he like about Obama none of it was focussed around his policies. He said that his words and his demeanor were the selling point of the event. My father felt that Obama is the only candidate that he's seen that is offering hope to the American people.

Did the event win my friends over? It did indeed. Of the four i brought, three are definitely convinced that Obama is the one. The still undecided friend likes Obama, but thinks there is still enough racism in this county and that will hurt him
