Hillary's softer side is compelling too!
I've seen Hillary Clinton in living rooms, hospital auditoriums, outdoor venues in Manchester and Portsmouth, and in huge school gymnasiums in Concord and Stratham/Exeter, the latter just two days ago. What I have observed is the range of her knowledge and expertise, for the major topics have differed over the months, and the range of her delivery, from fiery to calm, from soft to loud. And always, there is confidence without cockiness, plus experience, good judgement, and a willingness to look at complex issues that can't be answered with "yes or no".
I continue to be impressed by her clarity on issues and her care in responding to questions from the audience. When she hasn't thought about something before, which happened when a small-business owner asked her a question about tax credits and health insurance costs for his group, she invited him to talk to her after the gathering in order to share some ideas and concerns! I like that "I don't know everything, and I won't pretend I do" response! She does, I'm convinced, have an open mind.
Hillary's strength is her experience and her willingness to look ahead; she sees the need for change as much as any candidate, and she has the experience from years of public service, White House living, and Senatorial development of legislation with both parties to support her desire to look for NEW ways to do things, ways to undo the damage of the Bush Administration. I get a clearer picture of her skill and her will each time I see her!
