Governor Romney and His Cabinet

I heard Governor Romney for the second time on Sunday. He talked about or answered questions about the following that I remember: immigration, stem-cell research, Iraq, gun control, too much government spending, having a strong military, strong families and the qualities and types of his cabinet members should he be elected president. I liked what he said, and particularly about immigration and in answer to a question, what his cabinet would look like. He believes in legal immigration and would suggest having cards for legal immigrants so that when they go for a job they show the card. Should they enter illegally, they would have no card, hence no job. If elected, his cabinet would have a wide variety of people so that there would be a lot of discussion and differing opinions about the topics at hand, in other words, not just " yes" men and women.

I find him a reasonable, wholesome, very bright man, who apparently really likes a challenge and I believe that he has the added wonderful quality of integrity. I think he would bring a great deal of strength to the position of President of the United States.

There is something about

There is something about Governor Romney that tells me he has short bursts of success, but would have trouble sustaining a focus on long term problems that cannot be easily compartmentalized for classic problem solving.  On the other hand, Mayor Giuliani has demonstrated the ability to address multi-faced issues (e.g., the Mafia, city wide crime) and to resolve them effectively.
