Personal Statement
From an early age I have worked in construction, both residential and commercial. I have masters degrees in international peace studies and international relations. I travel regularly to developing countries where I work with local people to understand the impact on their lives of various factors - foreign investment, humanitarian and development assistance, conflict, environmental degradation, etc. My PhD research focuses on the overlap between human rights and environmental protections.
