Personal Statement
I am undecided as to which primary to vote in, so I am shopping for candidates in both parties. Because I feel the next President will be the Democratic Nominee, I'll vote in the Democratic Primary if my favored Democrat is in danger of losing to another Democrat. Otherwise, I think I'll vote in the Republican Primary for the candidate that will steer the GOP in a direction I agree with.
I am a self-described socially liberal, fiscally conservative independent. I have a lot in common with libertarians, and I support a return to the constitution and its federalism and states' rights as they were meant to be by our founders. On the whole, I believe the country is much too partisan for its own good.
I served as a US House of Representatives Page in the 109th Congress. In many ways, my experiences there both disllusioned me about our government and, at the same time, inspired me to someday bring about change that is sorely needed.
