Personal Statement
I come from the libertarian wing of the Republican party, defined as "the cornerstone of liberty is the right to be left alone". I will pick my candidate by the following rank-listed critieria: no foreign wars (we're already in Iraq, so will be open to a discussion about which bad choice the candidate prefers), lower tax burden, lower regulatory burden, free trade/free markets. I do not believe in victimless crime. The biggest domestic problems at present are a dysfunctional health insurance system and an educational system run as a government monopoly by a union. I want a candidate who has run something larger than a law office and who has the ability to assess the danger posed by other government leaders (no more Jimmy Carters or George W's).
